Isabelle Lake creates history on Hall of Fame Honour Roll

Isabelle Lake was the first transwoman to be included the Honour Roll of the Women's Hall of Fame on International Women's Day. 

 Isabelle was honoured for her inspiring  work in promoting the rights of LGBTI young people, in particular the development of the Guidelines for supporting sexuality and gender diversity in schools.

 Also nominated by the Commissioner for Equal Opportunity, Allanah Lucas for inclusion on the Roll of Honour was the first Commissioner for Equal Opportunity, June Williams. June's ground-breaking work established the Equal Opportunity Commission in the WA as the pre-eminent human rights body in Western Australia.   See A short history of the Equal Opportunity Commission
