WA lags on jobs for the girls

If the West Australian representatives of the top 200 companies lifted their game it would have a significant impact on the percentage of Australian women on company boards, Women on Boards executive director Claire Braund said yesterday.

 Ms Braund, commenting on an international study of women on boards released by New York-based Catalyst, said women comprised 30 per cent of new director appointments to the biggest 200 Australian stock exchange-listed companies last year and filled 19.2 per cent of board seats.
