Congratulations to James Clarke for being awarded WA's Young Person of the Year. His advocacy for the rights of young gay people and the Aboriginal community is outstanding.

James participated in the recent launch by the Commissioner for Equal Opportunity of the Guidelines for supporting sexual and gender diversity in schools, which were developed by the Commission in consultation with a wide range and school and community representatives.  You can read more about the Guidelines for supporting sexual and gender diversity in schools  on our website.

James runs a campaign called Unity in the Community.  With eleven other Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander students, he has made a video aiming to discourage discrimination and bullying against LGBTI people: Unity in the Community.
