CEOs for Gender Equity launched
Eighteen of Western Australia’s most influential CEOs have gathered
key business and community members together to launch the CEOs for
Gender Equity initiative at Government House today.
Equal Opportunity Commission in 2012 prompted the formation of the
inaugural Group of CEOs, which has since grown to representing CEOs from
the corporate, not for profit and government sectors.

gender inequality in WA, not only because it made good business sense,
but because it made good sense for the State.
WA has the lowest female representation on boards and the highest pay
gap. There is low representation of females studying science,
technology, engineering and maths and a continuing concern women feel
discriminated against in the workplace because of their gender.

The CEOs for Gender Equity is an Equal Opportunity Commission initiative bringing 17 influential Perth-based CEOs together to progress gender equity in Western Australia.
They have chosen to concentrate on three focus areas to progress equality from the beginning of a girl's education through to the pinnacle of her career.
