Calendar 2011

Aboriginal calendar 2011     Every year the Equal Opportunity Commission publishes a calendar featuring aspects
of the Aboriginal community and culture.  In 2011, the calendar depicts the artwork of
Mitchell Whyte, student at the Narrogin Senior High, as part of their Working Together,
Reconciliation program. You can read about this program in our newsletter
     Discrimination Matters

View the Aboriginal Calendar - 2011.

You can order copies of the calender here, or contact us if you would like us to send you
copies of the calendar, or you can print it off from this website.

Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP)

The Commission launched its Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) in November 2009.

The RAP turns “good intentions into action” by encouraging and supporting organisations to engage in the national effort to close the gap in life expectancy between Indigenous and other Australians.

RAP Poster

The EOC envisions Australia as a nation that recognises and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait peoples as the original inhabitants and custodians of the land and seas; where its citizens work together to eliminate disadvantage, discrimination and injustice.

The RAP includes specific actions and targets designed to foster the Commission’s relationship with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and bring about a better way of delivering our services. The Commission's RAP also seeks to establish a process for consulting with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders in relation to Commission activities and projects.  (pdf) (Word)

The Commission's RAP is displayed in a poster in our foyer
which welcomes all of our clients. (pdf)
