Welcome Equal Opportunity Commission Aboriginal calendar 2011

We respectfully acknowledge the past and present traditional owners of Western Australia and pay our respects to the leaders of the traditional custodians of this land. Together we acknowledge the contributions of Aboriginal Australians and non-Aboriginal Australians to  this country we all live in and share together - Western Australia.

Our vision for reconciliation

The Equal Opportunity Commission envisions Australia as a nation that recognises and respects Aboriginal and Torres Strait  peoples as the original inhabitants and custodians of the land and seas; where its citizens work together to eliminate disadvantage, discrimination and injustice experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Islander peoples in every aspect of their lives; and where opportunity, security, education, and good health - for so long denied Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples - are enjoyed by all, fully and without qualification.

To find out more about our Reconciliation Action Plan and other information for Aboriginal people click here.

To find out about your rights and how to make a complaint of unfair discrimination, click here.
